I never conceive metaphorically on any level. I'm only interested in what's concrete, real time, the song of the senses. My work augments sensation by making explicit forgotten information, overloading the filters of habit and convenience. The intent is to establish common ground in the experience of a single moment which, like all we see, is composed more of memory and expectation than light entering the eye.

Hardwood stretchers are hand-built and heavyweight canvas stretched in the studio. Pure primary colors are reduced in medium to transparency and applied in layers, colors mixing on the canvas back to front – surfaces are waxy and flat. Other paintings are available, some older, smaller, and less expensive and a new array will be sent depending on your preferences – please inquire. In most cases display framing is included. A formal resume is available for those interested.
